Vixen SD81S FPL-53 ED Refractor Telescope

We introduce this high-quality and functional SD81S FPL-53 ED Refractor Telescope by Vixen Optics. Excellent for visual observation to give prime and accurate focus, eyepiece projection, and afocal imaging astrophotography techniques. It's an 81 mm apochromatic refractor with high-performance Super ED glass (= SD). This SD glass brings all the rays of red, blue, yellow, violet, and green together precisely on the same plane. Vixen outfitted the SD81S with FPL53 extra-low dispersion (ED) glass in a fully multi-coated apochromatic lens that corrects spherical and chromatic aberrations, astigmatism, and off-axis comas. The unique lens material reduces the chromatic aberration in all colors.
These refractors enable illumination with a 44mm image circle for full format SLR cameras. The new optional SD Reducer HD Kit or SD Flattener HD's short length and low weight is the advantage of these SD refractors.
The ED81SII, ED103S, and ED115S refractors were initially developed with APS-C cameras for the visual observer or photographer. Nonetheless, the new SD series has also been optimized for full-frame cameras by replacing new inner panels. The large focuser enables heavy cameras to be attached without tilting. The folding mirror allows comfortable observation and offers a T2 thread for connecting a DSLR camera and even in unfavorable situations.
